基于对红移范围 内大质量星系的目视检查,我们已开始在 ESO 公共巡天 KiDS 中系统搜寻强引力透镜候选者。作为先导计划,我们检查了 100 平方度的天区,该区域与 SDSS 重叠,且存在已知透镜可用作对照样本。利用 VST/OmegaCAM 卓越的图像质量、颜色信息以及精确的模型扣除图像,我们发现了 18 个新的透镜候选者,需要光谱确认来证实其透镜性质并研究透镜星系的质量轮廓。
