基于 DESI 成像与光谱的星际尘埃地图

摘要

我们展示了使用 DESI 成像和光谱数据绘制的新型银河系高 Galactic 纬度天区的尘埃衰减地图。我们直接测量了通过将 DESI 成像中观测到的 grg-rrzr-z 恒星颜色与来自 DESI 光谱(来自前两年调查)推导的合成颜色进行比较,对 260 万颗恒星进行衰减测量。两种颜色的衰减在平均上与 RV=3.1R_V=3.1 的 Fitzpatrick (1999) 衰减曲线一致。我们发现,所得衰减地图与常用 Schlegel et al. (1998) (SFD) 衰减地图存在显著差异(E(BV)E(B-V) 最多可达 80 mmag),并将此差异大多归因于 SFD 地图的系统误差。为了验证衰减地图,我们选取一组基于所得衰减地图进行消除校正的星系样本,结果显示其均匀性显著优于 SFD 消除校正。最后,我们讨论了 DESI 衰减测量中的潜在系统误差,包括光度标定误差,这是影响我们准确性的限制因素。本文所呈现的 E(gr)E(g-r)E(rz)E(r-z) 地图,为便于参考,其对应的 E(BV)E(B-V) 地图(经 SFD 标定)已公开发布。
