潮汐矮行星系的星际联合

我们调查了潮汐矮行星系（Tidal Dwarf Galaxies）的星际联合，结合观测和进化合成模型以揭示其形成机制。在光学图像上，我们选取了一组潮汐矮行星系，并使用光学光谱测量金属丰度和速度结构。最后我们通过近红外成像与专用的进化合成模型网格比较，估算星龄、瞬时星光强度和星际质量，以评估潮汐矮行星系是由坍缩气体云形成，还是通过从母星系积累旧恒星形成，或两者结合形成。
