摘要
我们提供了 Phoenix 小矮星中心区域的 HST/WFPC2 光度测量。精确光度测量使我们能够：1) 确认先前地面观测检测到的水平分支的存在，并据此确定 Phoenix 的距离；2) 清晰检测到 Phoenix 星际文献中存在多个年龄层；3) 确定其古老红巨星分支星体的平均金属丰度，并暗示 Phoenix 在其演化过程中经历了化学演化；4) 提取中心区域的大致星形成史，表明 Phoenix 在其整个生命史中大致持续地持续形成恒星。
