摘要

新一代地基甚高能 (VHE) 伽马射线天文台由多达四台大型（直径>12m）聚光镜组成，这与 R. Hanbury Brown 在 20 世纪 60 年代末用于通过强度干涉测量恒星直径的装置非常相似。未来十年将建造的 VHE 伽马射线天文台将涉及数十台类似或更大尺寸的望远镜。若用作强度干涉仪，它们将提供数百条独立基线。现在是重新评估强度干涉测量潜力的最佳时机，以便在设计这些大型设施时将其纳入考量。
