当前对介子与重子同位旋劈裂的测量已足够精确，可据此估算组成上夸克与下夸克之间的质量差。根据这些新测量对一些先前结果作了更新，并指出更好地测量某些观测量（如 、 以及底重子中的同位旋劈裂）的重要性。
