LHC新物理搜寻的统计挑战

摘要
由于 LHC 的重点是 5 sigma 发现，且 LHC 环境导致高系统误差，高能物理中使用的许多常见统计程序并不适用。我回顾了 LHC 搜寻的基本要素、系统误差的来源以及几种方法的性能。最后，我指出了对 LHC 似乎最有前景的方法以及需要进一步研究的领域。
