SPring-8 LEPS2 束线:一种通过激光康普顿散射产生多 GeV 光子束的装置

摘要
我们在 8 GeV 电子储存环 SPring-8 上构建了一台新的激光康普顿散射装置,称为 LEPS2 束线。该装置提供标记能量范围为 1.3–2.4 GeV 的线偏振光子束。得益于低发射度储存环电子的小发散角,标记光子束的尺度(sigma)即使在传播约 130 m 到达独立于储存环建筑并容纳大型探测器系统的实验楼后,仍被抑制到约 4 mm。该束线采用最多四束高功率激光同时注入,并将长光子束路径的透射率提高至约 77%,从而设计为获得高于 SPring-8 首条激光康普顿散射束线的光子束强度。新束线已投入运行用于强子光生实验。
