SPLUS J142445.34-254247.1:一颗经 GHOST 观测的快中子俘获过程增丰、锕系增强的极贫金属星

摘要

我们报道对 SPLUS J142445.34-254247.1 的化动学分析,这是一颗快中子俘获过程(r-过程)元素增丰的极贫金属晕星。该星最初由其窄带 S-PLUS 测光选为金属贫乏候选体,并以 Gemini South/GMOS 进行中分辨率光谱随访,确认了其低金属丰度状态。利用 Gemini South 的 GHOST 进行了高分辨率光谱观测,得以确定从碳到钍共 36 种元素的化学丰度。在 [Fe/H]=-3.39 下,SPLUS J1424-2542 是已测得 Th 的最低金属丰度恒星之一,且具有迄今观测到的最高 logeps(Th/Eu),使其成为 r-过程增丰星中“锕系增强”类别的一员。此处分析表明,形成 SPLUS J1424-2542 的气体云必定已被至少两类前身星族富集。轻元素(Z<=30)丰度模式与零金属恒星 11.3-13.4 Msun 超新星爆发产额一致,重元素(Z>=38)丰度模式可由中子星并合(1.66Msun 与 1.27Msun)事件产额重现。运动学分析还揭示 SPLUS J1424-2542 是一颗低质量、年老的晕星,可能起源于原位,不与银河系任何已知早期并合事件相关。
