螺旋结构与星系环境

摘要
在330颗Sa-Sc类型的正常螺旋星系中，呈现出“环形”、“中间”和“螺旋”手臂变种的比例与环境无关。类似地，123颗SBa-SBc类型的棕盘螺旋星系的手臂变种也得出类似结论。我们得出结论，在目前可用数据精度下，北部Shapley-Ames星系中螺旋手臂的环形与螺旋手臂变种之间的区别是独立于星系环境的。这一结果表明，螺旋手臂的细节形貌主要取决于母星系特征，而非星系环境。
