PbCuTe$_2$O$_6$ 中接近量子临界点的自旋液体与铁电性

相互作用自旋间的几何阻挫与强量子涨落破坏了长程磁序,有利于如自旋液体等更奇异的状态。遵循这一指导原则,在准二维(quasi-2D)系统中确定了若干自旋液体候选体系。然而对于 3D,情况较不利,因为量子涨落减弱且竞争态变得更加相关。在此,我们报道了对 PbCuTe2_2O6_6 单晶和压粉样品的热力学、磁性和介电性质的全面研究,该材料是具有超钾晶格的 3D 阻挫量子自旋液体候选材料。尽管粉末样品的低温性质与最近提出的量子自旋液体态一致,单晶却揭示了更为奇异的行为。这些晶体在 TFE1KT_{\text{FE}} \approx 1\,\text{K} 处显示铁电序,伴随强晶格畸变,以及修饰的磁响应——仍与量子自旋液体一致——但有明显量子临界行为的迹象。
