Vela PWN的光谱图谱

一系列13次Chandra观测提供了迄今为止最深的Vela PWN图像。除了内部分布结构外，汇总后的图像中出现了更大且更淡的非对称X射线星云。这种外部分布的形状类似于射电PWN的形状。我们还呈现了Vela PWN的光谱图，揭示了围绕内部分布的柔和辐射壳层，以及脉冲星西南方向的扩展硬辐射区。这可能表明外喷流正在为该区域供给粒子。
