南方双星星系 I. 孤立配对样本

摘要
通过对《欧洲天文学会天文 photography 目录》(The Surface Photometry Catalogue of the ESO-Uppsala Galaxies)应用面积密度增强程序，确定了包含 621 对双星星系的目录。该方法无需红移信息。基于客观标准的额外限制，考虑了目录完整性，最终得到 189 对孤立配对的样本并列于其中。我们从目录中获得双星星系的光学亮度函数，据此估计双星星系中星系的亮度密度约为野外星系的 4%。我们样本的一般性质与 CPG 与 CMG 相似。
