高能质子-质子碰撞中喷注碎裂的软修正

摘要
在 LHC 前两轮运行中，质子-质子碰撞中集体性的发现是最令人困惑的结果之一，因为它指向了夸克-胶子等离子体产生的可能性，而此前认为其仅在重离子碰撞中形成。重离子碰撞中的一个关键观测现象在质子-质子碰撞中仍未出现，即喷注淬火。本快报表明，一个能够描述质子-质子碰撞软集体特征的模型，同样可预言对喷注碎裂性质的修正。以此为出发点，我们提出了若干适用于当前及未来在小碰撞系统中搜寻喷注淬火的新可观测量。
