SN 2012ij:一颗低光度Ia型超新星及从91bg类爆发到正常爆发的连续分布证据

摘要

在本文中,我们给出了亚光度Ia型超新星(SN Ia)2012ij的光度和光谱观测,其绝对BB波段峰值星等MB,maxM_{B,\rm{max}} = -17.95 ±\pm 0.15 mag。BB波段光变曲线表现出快速的峰后下降,其中Δm15(B)\Delta m_{15}(B) = 1.86 ±\pm 0.05 mag。所有RRII/ii波段光变曲线在峰值后约3周均显示出微弱的二次峰值/肩状特征,类似于某些Ia型超新星的过渡子类,这可能源于近红外(NIR)双峰的不完全合并。光谱的特征为Ti~{\sc ii}和强Si~{\sc ii} λ\lambda5972吸收特征,这些通常见于如SN 1999by之类的低光度天体。极大光前近红外光谱揭示了微弱碳吸收特征,暗示存在未燃烧物质。我们将SN 2012ij的观测性质与亚钱德拉塞卡质量和钱德拉塞卡质量延迟爆轰模型的预测进行比较,发现这两种模型在某种程度上均可解释其光学和近红外光谱性质。通过比较IIii波段的二次极大特征,我们认为SN 2012ij是连接正常Ia型超新星与典型91bg类超新星的过渡天体。根据Carnegie Supernova Project IICarnegie~Supernova~Project~II(CSP-II)已发表的Ia型超新星样本,我们估计类似SN 2012ij的Ia型超新星所占比例不低于\sim 2%。
