在$\sqrt{s}=200$ GeV的极化质子-质子弹性散射中的单自旋不对称性$A_N$

摘要

我们报告了在RHIC的STAR实验中,在质心能量s=200\sqrt{s}=200 GeV的质子-质子弹性散射中横向单自旋不对称性ANA_N的高精度测量。ANA_N是在四动量转移平方tt范围0.003t0.0350.003 \leqslant |t| \leqslant 0.035 \GeVcSq\GeVcSq内测量的,该区域是电磁散射振幅和强子散射振幅之间显著干涉的区域。ANA_N的测量值及其对tt的依赖性与强子自旋翻转振幅为零一致,从而对单自旋翻转振幅与非翻转振幅之比提供了强约束。由于在该s\sqrt{s}下强子振幅主要由坡密子振幅主导,我们得出结论,该测量解决了关于极化质子-质子弹性散射中坡密子交换是否引起强子自旋翻转的问题。
