横向极化 $^3$He 靶电子散射中产生的包含强子的单自旋不对称性

摘要

我们报告了使用横向极化 3^3He 靶,在包含强子产生反应 e e~+ 3Heh+X~^3\text{He}^{\uparrow}\rightarrow h+X 中对靶单自旋不对称性 (AN_N) 的首次测量。实验在 Jefferson Lab 的 Hall A 进行,使用了 5.9-GeV 的电子束。在横向强子动量范围 0.54 <pT<<p_T< 0.74 GeV/c 内探测到了三种类型的强子(π±\pi^{\pm}K±\text{K}^{\pm} 和质子)。介子的 xFx_F 范围为 -0.29 <xF<<x_F< -0.23,介子的 xFx_F 范围为 -0.25 <xF<<x_F<-0.18。观测到的不对称性强烈依赖于强子类型。对于 π+\pi^+K+\text{K}^+ 观测到正不对称性,对于 π\pi^{-} 观测到负不对称性。不对称性的大小遵循 Aπ<Aπ+<AK+|A^{\pi^-}| < |A^{\pi^+}| < |A^{K^+}|。在实验不确定度范围内,K^{-} 和质子的不对称性与零一致。针对 3^3He 靶测量的 π+\pi^{+}π\pi^{-} 不对称性以及提取出的中子不对称性符号相反,且随 pTp_T 增加观察到微小增长。
