我们使用包含hydrodynamic和N-body技术的DUAL代码对螺旋星系中的气体和恒星进行建模。模拟揭示了镜像B和K'波段观察中看到的许多螺旋星系的双重形态差异。特别是，气体图像比恒星图像更为离散，螺旋臂的螺距角更小，星臂-星际对比度与形态脱节程度相关。
