壳层星系：动力学摩擦、卫星逐渐衰变与并合定年

摘要
为了改进壳层星系的建模以及利用壳层探测并合历史，我们开发了一种在径向小并合的测试粒子模拟中实现动力学摩擦的新方法。该摩擦与矮星系的逐渐衰变相结合。这两种效应的耦合可以显著重新分布壳层的位置和光度；忽略它们可能导致在尝试对并合定年时出现显著误差。
