我们对狼-里尔星系 He 2-10 的核心进行了近红外成像和中红外光谱观测。我们发现红外连续光和发射线浓缩于一个扁椭椭圆中，直径为 3-4 弧秒（约 150 pc），这可能显示了最近一次吸积事件如何触发强烈的星形成活动。该星团的致盲辐射有效温度为 40,000 K，对应于 30 倍太阳质量的恒星；该星形成活动年龄为 0.5--1.5 百万年。
