SEAMLESS调查:四颗引导低质量星系演化的微型星系

摘要

我们报告了通过持续进行的半自动机器学习搜索半解析星系(SEAMLESS)计划所识别的四个本地体积微型星系:Hydrus A、LEDA 486718、Cetus B以及Sculptor 26,其中Hydrus A首次报告发现。这四个星系跨越广泛的环境和演化状态。Hydrus A (MV=9.39±0.20M_V = -9.39\pm0.20, D=3.380.30+0.32D = 3.38_{-0.30}^{+0.32} Mpc)和LEDA 486718 (MV=11.62±0.08M_V = -11.62\pm0.08, D=4.80±0.17D = 4.80\pm0.17 Mpc)是已知距离5 Mpc范围内最孤立的微型星系之一;而Cetus B (MV=8.26±0.17M_V = -8.26\pm0.17, D=3.320.23+0.25D = 3.32_{-0.23}^{+0.25} Mpc)和Sculptor 26 (MV=11.25±0.10M_V = -11.25\pm0.10, D=3.21±0.13D =3.21\pm0.13 Mpc)位于NGC 253的<2Rvir< 2 R_{vir}内。Hydrus A显示出与宇宙初期联合引力或内部反馈驱动的淬灭现象相符的特征。LEDA 486718为一个孤立的星形成微型星系。Cetus B表现为被淬灭且形态受扰,可能为低质量卫星星系或背 Splash候选者;Sculptor 26呈红色且似乎缺乏气体,但显示出近期活动的迹象,符合过渡性演化状态。这些系统共同展示了SEAMLESS在构建5 Mpc范围内微型星系目录方面的潜力。
