S=1/2 kagome反铁磁体herbertsmithite中的无标度反铁磁涨落

摘要

对近理想的s=1/2 kagome反铁磁体herbertsmithite [ZnCu3 (OH)6Cl2]的中子谱学与漫中子散射研究,揭示了量子自旋液体的标志特性:在不存在时间平均有序矩的情况下,具有瞬态短程反铁磁关联。这些动态反铁磁关联仅极微弱地依赖于中子能量转移和温度,并持续存在至25 meV与120 K。在低能转移下,观察到随温度升高磁散射向低Q偏移,这为无能隙自旋子提供了证据。本文论证这些观测结果为(掺杂)莫特绝缘体的RVB理论提供了重要证据。
