回顾反对星系中长寿命旋臂的观测证据

摘要
我们通过对九个星系样本应用傅里叶强度相位法，回顾了 Foyle 等人 (2011) 的先前结果。研究发现，具有强双臂模式的两个天体（NGC 628 和 NGC 5194）呈现出支持长寿命旋臂的正面证据。仅有一个天体（NGC 3627）显示出相反的证据。正如通过解析质量图分析所确定的，其余天体无法纳入分析，因为它们属于絮状和多臂型旋臂，而密度波理论无法描述这类旋臂。
