红与红化:Ia型超新星2017erp的紫外至近红外观测

摘要

我们给出了超新星SN2017erp的空间基紫外/光学测光与光谱(分别由Swift紫外/光学望远镜和哈勃空间望远镜获得),以及地基光学测光与光谱和近红外光谱。其光学光变曲线和光谱与一颗正常的Ia型超新星(SN Ia)一致。在修正了银河系和宿主星系尘埃红化后,与先前的近紫外(NUV)测光样本相比,SN2017erp的颜色类似于NUV红类。我们发现SN2017erp与NUV蓝类SN2011fe之间的差异不能仅用尘埃红化解释,而是类似于由高红移SNe Ia静止系紫外测光导出的SALT颜色律。这一色差主要由紫外波段的内在差异主导,仅有少量来自预期尘埃红化的贡献。区分二者对利用静止系紫外测光确定宇宙学距离具有重要影响。该光谱序列对于分析具有本征更红NUV颜色的SNe Ia十分重要。我们还展示了模型比较,表明金属性可能是NUV蓝与NUV红SNe Ia之间的物理差异,约3000埃附近的反向荧光发射峰意味着SN2017erp上层金属性比SN2011fe高一个数量级。然而金属性估计高度依赖模型,且紫外波段存在多种效应。需要更多模型与SNe Ia的紫外光谱来探索在近紫外峰和 mid-UV 通量水平上表现出看似独立差异的SNe Ia的多样性。
