TaCo$_2$Te$_2$中实用八重费米子与四重范霍夫奇点的实现

摘要

描述晶格结构对称性的空间群允许能带结构中涌现具有不同简并度的费米子准粒子。理论工作已预言许多承载最高简并度(即八重费米子)的材料,但缺乏实验实现。在此,我们探究TaCo2_2Te2_2晶体中的能带简并。通过系统的实验与理论分析,我们确立TaCo2_2Te2_2为一种具有可忽略自旋轨道耦合(SOC)和长程磁序的非对称晶体。这些关键性质保证了实用八重费米子与四重范霍夫奇点的首次实现,如角分辨光电子能谱直接观测所示。TaCo2_2Te2_2作为一个拓扑量子临界平台,可通过施加应变、磁场或SOC调控进入多种磁性、拓扑平庸与非平庸相。后者由我们第一性原理计算证实,其显示增强TaCo2_2Te2_2中的SOC将促进体小时玻璃费米子的实验观测。我们的结果确立TaCo2_2Te2_2为探索磁、关联、对称与能带拓扑交织的物质态的独特平台。
