3C58的射电光谱指数与膨胀

摘要
我们使用VLA在74 MHz和327 MHz对类星体超新星残留物3C58进行了新观测。此外，我们重新处理了于1973年和1984年分别于1.4 GHz和4.9 GHz的早期观测数据。比较这些不同图像后，我们发现：1.残留物具有平坦且相对均匀的光谱指数分布；2.随时间的膨胀显著小于自1181年公认爆炸日期以均匀、无减速膨胀预期的膨胀；3.没有证据表明由超新星冲击波产生的非热 synchrotron 辐射壳层，此类辐射在327 MHz的面积亮度<1×10^(-21) W/(m² Hz sr)。
