摘要
NEWS-G 合作组使用球形正比计数器(SPCs)搜寻弱相互作用大质量粒子(WIMPs)。在本文中,我们报道了使用部署于 TUNL 设施中子束中的 SPC 在 \SI{2}{bar} 氖气体中首次测量的核猝灭因子。核猝灭因子的能量依赖性用简单的幂律 E 建模;我们通过对探测器在一系列能量上收集的数据同时拟合来确定其参数。我们在 Ne:CH 于 \SI{2}{bar} 下测得如下参数: = 0.2801 0.0050(拟合) 0.0045(系统)和 = 0.0867 0.020(拟合) 0.006(系统)。我们的测量结果与 SRIM 或 Lindhard 理论的预期值不一致。我们证明了利用 SPC 与中子束在气体中实现亚 keV 能量猝灭因子测量的可行性。
