摘要
我分析了牛顿力学中质量的含义。首先，我解释了原初本体论（primitive ontology）的概念，该概念最初引入于量子力学哲学中。然后我考察了质量的两种常见解释：质量作为物质数量的度量和质量作为动力学属性。我认为前者定义不良，而后者仅就自然律的形而上学解释而言才合理。我探讨了自然律地位的以下选项：休谟主义（Humeanism）、关于律的基元论（primitivism about laws）、倾向主义（dispositionalism）和本体论结构实在论（ontic structural realism）。
