脉动白矮星

摘要
斯隆数字化巡天使我们已知的白矮星数量增加了五倍，从而已知的脉动白矮星数量也增加了五倍。它还导致了新型变星白矮星的发现，如变星热DQ白矮星和脉动极低质量白矮星。借助开普勒任务，我们得以发现新现象，即少数脉动白矮星中存在的爆发。
