我们对IRAS PSCz与1.2-Jy球谐系数进行了详细比较，分析了红移空间中的密度场和速度场。两项调查的单极项预测存在一些差异。由于微弱源的影响，速度单极之间的不匹配在提取flux>1.2 Jy的PSCz子样本后便消失。对PSCz偶极矩的分析确认了Davis、Nusher和Willick（1996）在IRAS 1.2-Jy引力场与MARK III奇异速度之间发现的相同不一致性。我们得出结论，shot-noise——在我们的PSCz引力场中大幅减少——不能解释观察到的不匹配。
