T2K扩展运行至 $20\times10^{21}$ POT的提案

摘要

T2K中微子振荡实验的最新测量结果表明,未来长基线中微子振荡实验可能观测到中微子混合中的CP破坏。我们提议将目前批准的T2K运行从 7.8×1021 \mboxPOT7.8\times 10^{21}~\mbox{POT} 扩展至 20×1021 \mboxPOT20\times 10^{21}~\mbox{POT},旨在对最大CP破坏的情况以3σ\,\sigma或更高的显著性初步观测CP破坏。该计划还包含对混合参数 θ23\theta_{23}Δm322\Delta m^2_{32} 的测量,精度分别达到1.7^\circ或更好以及1%。通过加速器和束流线升级以及分析改进,该计划将在预计于2026年开始运行的下一代长基线中微子振荡实验之前实施。
