我们利用N II和Fe III的光学谱线研究了亮蓝变星天鹅座P的星风。这是通过应用一种自吸收曲线（SAC）方法的变体来完成的，该方法涉及很少的假设，适用于通量可测量的谱线。得到了一个相当令人惊讶的结果：没有蓝移吸收分量的更高激发多重态谱线表现为光学厚，而最高激发多重态的谱线可能显示出比低激发多重态谱线光学更厚的迹象。讨论了这些效应的解释，包括星风中可能存在的不均匀性。
