真空中慢质子素的产生

摘要

我们描述了在嵌套 Penning 阱环境中,通过反质子与分子离子 H2+_2^+ 相互作用合成质子素(一种准稳定的反质子 - 质子束缚系统)的过程。通过对 ATHENA 实验中反质子湮灭事件空间分布的仔细分析,提供了在 nn = 70 附近态、具有低角动量且动能低于 eV 量级的质子素产生的证据。这项工作为利用激光光谱技术研究提供了一个新的二体系统。
