靠近类鲨鱼(QSO)的重元素提供了对年轻星系核或原星系浓缩物质形成和化学演化的独特测量。类星体丰度研究自然涉及关于类星体环境物理的各种问题，包括本次会议强调的巴尔汉效应。在此，我审述了类星体丰度研究的现状。
