用 KASCADE-Grande 探测大气中 EAS 缪子含量的演化

摘要

利用 KASCADE-Grande 观测站的数据研究了大气中极高能空气簇射(EAS)缪子含量的演化。为此,从实验数据中得到大气中缪子衰减长度为 Λμ=1256±85232+229(\mboxsyst)\mboxg/cm2\Lambda_\mu = 1256 \, \pm 85 \, ^{+229}_{-232}(\mbox{syst})\, \mbox{g/cm}^2,对应簇射能量介于 1016.310^{16.3}1017.0\mboxeV10^{17.0} \, \mbox{eV} 之间。将该量与高能强子相互作用模型 QGSJET-II-02、SIBYLL 2.1、QGSJET-II-04 和 EPOS-LHC 的预测比较表明,测得 EAS 缪子含量在大气中的衰减低于预测。然而,使用 LHC 后模型时偏差较不显著。此类偏差的存在似乎与 EAS 横向缪子密度分布的模拟与实测天顶角演化之间的差异有关,这也导致在距 EAS 核心大距离处测得的簇射缪子密度吸收长度与预测值不一致。所研究的缺陷表明,所有四个所考虑的强子相互作用模型均未能一致描述上述能量区间内 EAS 缪子含量的天顶角演化。
