利用 ACT 和 DES 探测大质量星系团中的星系演化:作为宇宙时钟的溅回边界

我们利用暗能量巡天(DES)观测的星系,测量了 Advanced Atacama Cosmology Telescope (AdvACT) 巡天中通过 Sunyaev--Zeldovich (SZ) 效应选取的星系团的星系投影数密度剖面和溅回特征。完整星系样本的溅回半径与仅 CDM 模拟的理论测量结果一致,位于 2.40.4+0.32.4^{+0.3}_{-0.4} Mpc h1h^{-1} 处。我们根据星系颜色对样本进行划分,发现剖面形状存在显著差异。红色星系和绿谷中的星系在其斜率剖面中表现出与理论预测一致的类溅回极小值,而最蓝的星系则表现出出现在较小半径处的微弱特征。我们通过根据落入星系团晕的时间对子晕进行划分,开发了 NN 体模拟中星系到子晕的映射。我们发现,最陡斜率的位置和剖面形状的差异可以映射到不同颜色星系平均落入时间的差异。星系剖面中斜率的极小值追踪了暗物质晕相空间中的不连续性。通过将不同颜色星系的空间剖面与落入时间相关联,我们可以将溅回作为时钟来理解星系猝灭。我们发现,红色星系平均在星系团中停留时间超过 3.2 Gyrs3.2 ~\rm Gyrs,绿色星系约 2.2 Gyrs2.2 ~\rm Gyrs,而蓝色星系是最近才被吸积的,尚未到达远心点。利用完整径向剖面的信息,我们拟合了一个简单的猝灭模型,发现星系团中星系猝灭的开始发生在约十亿年的延迟之后,此后星系以 0.6 Gyr 的指数时间尺度迅速猝灭。
