Z0 玻色子衰变中 b 夸克碎裂函数的精确测量

摘要
我们开发了一种新的技术,用于对 B 强子的能量进行全包含重建。该技术出色的效率和分辨率使我们能够利用 SLAC 的 SLD 实验中记录的 e+e- -> Z0 衰变事例,对 b 夸克碎裂函数进行最精确的测定。我们将测量结果与多种碎裂模型的预言进行了比较。我们排除了其中几个模型,并测得弱衰变 B 强子的平均标度能量为 <x_B>=0.714±0.005(统计)±0.007(系统)±0.002(模型依赖)。
