类星体极化:旋转与圆锥形外流

摘要
极化是探讨双吸收线类星体(BAL QSOs)外流几何结构与动力学的有用手段。我们进行蒙特卡罗模拟,以计算双吸收线外流(BALR)中由共振散射和电子散射产生的极化。我们发现:1)旋转的圆锥形外流更适合解释许多观察到的极化特征。2)共振散射在某些类星体中可对NV发射线贡献显著部分。
