摘要

PILOT 的拟议设计是一台通用型、大视场 1 度、2.4 米 f/10 Ritchey-Chretien 望远镜，具备快速 tip-tilt 导引功能，工作波段为 0.5-25 微米。该设计允许在这些波长下同时进行大视场观测和衍射极限观测。预期的整体成像质量（包括中值视宁度）在 0.8-2.4 微米范围内为 0.28-0.3" FWHM。文中估算了点源灵敏度。
