摘要
蟹状星云脉冲星及其周围星云由脉冲星自转能通过相对论性电子-正电子风的形成与终止所驱动,是承载该复杂集合体关键信息的明亮伽马射线源。我们报道了 射线的探测,其能谱在三个能量数量级上呈现逐渐变陡,从 到 拍电子伏(PeV)。这些超高能光子表明存在一个加速率超过绝对理论极限 15% 的 PeV 电子加速器(pevatron)。假设非脉冲 射线产生于脉冲星风终止处,我们约束了 pevatron 的尺寸介于 与 pc 之间,以及磁场 G。PeV 电子的产生率为 erg ,占脉冲星自转能损光度的 0.5%,尽管我们不排除 PeV 质子对最高能 射线产生具有不可忽略的贡献。
