周期为50年的双星系统TeV伽马射线辐射的近星点观测

我们报告了使用VERITAS和MAGIC成像大气切伦科夫望远镜阵列,在100 GeV至20 TeV能量范围内对脉冲星/Be星双星系统PSR J2032+4127 / MT91 213的观测。该双星轨道周期约为50年,最近一次近星点发生于2017年11月13日。我们的观测跨度从近星点前18个月到其后1个月。我们探测到一个新的点状伽马射线源,与PSR J2032+4127 / MT91 213的位置重合。伽马射线光变曲线和能谱在近星点经过期间被良好表征。流量在至少一个数量级上变化,在近星点达到峰值,从而将这一TeV源与脉冲星/Be星系统牢固关联。近星点前的观测显示能谱在约0.5 TeV能量处出现截断。该结果向已知的少量TeV双星群体增添了一名新成员,并且它仅是该类中第二个致密天体的性质和本质被牢固确定的源。我们将伽马射线结果与Neil Gehrels Swift天文台搭载的X射线望远镜(XRT)测得的的光变曲线以及该系统近期理论模型的预测进行比较。我们得出结论,模型需要重大修正才能解释我们所观测发射的细节,并讨论了该双星系统与重叠的稳态扩展源TeV J2032+4130之间的关系。
