摘要

Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS)于1998年6月在航天飞机Discovery上空执行STS-91任务飞行，飞行高度在320至390公里之间。本次AMS的初级版本包含一个气凝胶阈值克尔诺尔夫检测器（ATC），用于在动量小于3.5 GeV/c时分离反质子与电子背景。在本文中，将简要讨论ATC的设计和物理原理，然后将呈现ATC的性能结果。
