摘要
许多超越标准模型的新物理模型预言了τ轻子产生率的增加。因此，强子衰变的τ轻子在大型强子对撞机的新物理搜索中扮演着重要角色。通过触发这些τ轻子，ATLAS探测器在许多超越标准模型搜索中的发现能力可以得到极大增强。本文简要介绍了ATLAS τ触发器系统，并展示了其在2011年期间的稳健性和可靠性。
