活跃星系光曲线中的模式与巧合

摘要
我们注意到 NGC 4151 和 NGC 5548 光谱中存在引人注目的巧合模式。检查这些两个经典Seyfert星系的光度曲线，我们发现至少有五次类似的变化序列。该模式由约 2 年的短暂火花序列构成，B-band 总能量为 3--5 10^{50} ergs。我们预计如果这种模式是真正可重复的，正在进行的对 NGC 5548 的监测将很快揭示更多此类模式。我们推测这种模式可能与活跃星系的根本/普遍“可变单元”相关联，讨论其与 QSO 可变性特性的可能关联。
