脉冲星风星云 HESS J1825-137 内的粒子输运

摘要
目的:我们给出脉冲星风星云(PWN)HESS J1825-137 的详细图像。我们旨在约束主导该星云内粒子输运的机制,并解释其异常大的尺度与能谱特征。方法:利用 H.E.S.S. I 超过 12 年的深曝光观测,以及提升低能灵敏度的 H.E.S.S. II 数据研究该星云。增强的能依赖形态学与空间分辨能谱分析探测了该星云的甚高能(VHE,E > 0.1 TeV)伽马射线性质。结果:揭示星云辐射从脉冲星向外延伸达 1.5 度,比先前所见远约 1.5 倍,使得本征直径约 100 pc 的 HESS J1825-137 成为目前已知潜在最大的伽马射线脉冲星风星云。对星云强能依赖形态学的表征使得粒子输运机制得以约束。星云尺度随能量的依赖关系 R E^\alpha,其中 \alpha = -0.29 ± 0.04(统计)± 0.05(系统),不利于星云内粒子输运的纯扩散情景。发现星云在 1~TeV 以上的总伽马射线通量为 (1.12 ± 0.03(统计)± 0.25(系统)) cm s,约对应蟹状星云通量的 64%。结论:HESS J1825-137 是一个在甚高能伽马射线能量下具有清晰能依赖形态学的脉冲星风星云。该源被用作研究中年脉冲星风星云内粒子输运的实验室。对该高度空间延展星云的深观测使得能够制作该区域的能谱图,从而提供对星云内能谱变化的见解。
