我们呈现 Cygnus Loop 超级新星遗迹在 [O III] (5007)、H α 和 [S II] (6717, 6731) 波段的完整图集。尽管其呈现壳状外观，但 Cygnus Loop 并非喷射波的典型示例。相反，光学发射 traces 超级新星喷射波与气体簇相互作用的痕迹。周围的星际介质形成一个通过其中的空洞，其壁垒包括几乎完整的壳体，其中检测到非放热纤维。Cygnus Loop 喷射波并未从致密云中冲出，而是撞上约束壁垒。星际介质不仅主导 Cygnus Loop 的外观，也主导喷射波的持续演化。如果这是一个典型的超级新星遗迹，那么全球星际介质模型必须考虑如此显著的喷射波减速。
