M型星系在HST星系计数中的光学鉴定: IV

摘要
我们报告了关于M型星系在M31中supersoft X射线源光学鉴定项目初步进展的报告,该项目主要使用WIYN望远镜。我们将一个supersoft X射线源与一颗可变星相互关联,我们认为它可能是在1990年9月处于outburst状态的经典或再循环Nova。该Nova残留物必须在该观测后5年仍为supersoft X射线源,当时它被ROSAT观测到。
