软伽马射线重复暴(SGR)是一种罕见的伽马射线瞬变源,偶尔在高能天空中被探测到爆发。它们被认为是由磁星(一种具有极强磁场(约10^(14-15)高斯)的年轻中子星)产生的。在银河系中仅已知三个这样的天体,第四个与大麦哲伦星云中的超新星遗迹N49相关。在这些案例中,无论是伽马射线耀发还是宁静源,都未识别出光学对应体。在此,我们展示了对一个令人费解的天体SWIFT J195509+261406的多波段观测结果,我们在3天时间内探测到其光学波段超过40次耀发事件,以及11天后的一次微弱红外耀发,之后它恢复宁静。我们提出SWIFT J195509+261406是SGR的一个子类成员,其长期X射线辐射本质上是瞬态的。此外,它是首个在光学和近红外波段探测到爆发的SGR,并且可能是“持续性”SGR与暗淡孤立中子星之间的桥梁。
