论可饱和吸收体中光脉冲延迟的两种模型

摘要

本文对描述可饱和吸收体中光调制脉冲延迟的两种方法进行了比较分析。根据最简模型,光脉冲的延迟是其形状因非线性介质中的吸收自调制而发生畸变的结果。本世纪初提出的第二种效应模型,将脉冲延迟与相干布居振荡条件下群速度降低所产生的所谓“慢光”联系起来。结果表明,关于可饱和吸收体中光脉冲延迟的所有已知实验数据,均可在最简可饱和吸收体模型的框架内得到全面描述,而无需引入具有光谱烧孔和光群速度反常变化的相干布居振荡效应。由此得出结论,相干布居振荡条件下群速度降低的效应迄今未获得任何实验证实,基于该机制真实观测到“慢光”的断言是毫无根据的。
