摘要
GitHub 是全球最大的开源软件集合。因此，比较和追踪 GitHub 仓库的流行度对软件开发者和用户都很重要。在本文中，我们提出了一个利用 star 数量来评估 GitHub 软件流行度的框架。我们还提出了一组流行度增长模式，用于描述系统的 star 数量随时间的演变。我们表明，star 数往往与其他度量指标（如 fork）以及第三方程序对 GitHub 软件的有效使用量相关。在全文中，我们利用从 GitHub 提取的真实数据来说明我们框架的应用。
